“When Country Gets the Blues” debuted at The Union Street, approximately 2 years ago. Witchitaw and Charlie A’Court have gone on to present this show at the Cavendish Beach Music Festival and the prestigious Contact East Event here in Atlantic Canada. A’Court and Witchitaw are excited to return to Berwick to present “When Country Gets The Blues 2” at The Union Street – back to where it all began!

“When Country Gets The Blues 2” features two beloved and distinct styles of musical expression. Country music with its storytelling and hook-laden melodies; and Blues, with all its emotional intensity and unmistakable rhythms. These two distant cousins are born from the same musical art form and are more alike than they are different. “When Country Gets The Blues 2” takes audiences on a journey celebrating the legends of these genres and blurs the lines between country and blues

When Country Gets The Blues is the performance concept designed by country-rock ensemble Witchitaw, and blues recording artist Charlie A’Court. Separately, each act is known for their entertaining live shows and commitment to their respective genre. Combined, Witchitaw and A’Court bridge the gap by paying homage to some of the most iconic country and blues artists, as well as showcasing their own original material. Witchitaw brings out the country in Charlie and in turn, A’Court leans in on the bluesier side of Witchitaw’s catalogue of songs. Think Willie Nelson and Ray Charles, Waylon Jennings and Muddy Waters, Witchitaw and Charlie A’Court.
