  • The Union Street 183 Commercial Street Berwick, NS, B0P 1E0 Canada (map)

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 2nd, we are thrilled to have three incredible acts share our stage on the same night! CARSON MCHONE (accompanied by Daniel Romano), STEVEN LAMBKE with Michael C. Duguay, & BRIAN BORCHERDT as DUSTED.

Carson McHone is an artist originally from Austin Texas, now based in southern Ontario. McHone has been writing songs and touring under her own name for the better part of a decade, and more recently performing and recording as a member of Daniel Romano’s Outfit. In 2018 McHone released Carousel, recorded in Nashville, Tennessee with producer Mike McCarthy (Spoon, Patty Griffin) and released with Loose Music in the UK and Europe. McHone’s most recent album, Still Life, was recorded in Ontario with Daniel Romano and released via Merge Records in 2022, followed by extensive touring across North America, The UK, and Europe. McHone also lent her voice to Steven Lambke’s most recent album, Volcano Volcano, and enjoyed a co-headline tour with Lambke in the late fall of 2022 across Ontario and Quebec, sharing bands and performing together. It seems they’re making a habit of it and she looks forward to sharing the stage with Lambke again on the East Coast of Canada this December.

Steven Lambke is a writer of songs and poems. His most recent solo album Volcano Volcano was saluted by Pitchfork as “a battle cry for romantic radicals.” He has been described by Leanne Betasamosake Simpson as “a working musician – that is, someone who is embedded in, responsible to, and who holds space for a community of artists that create against the odds of the music industry, without contracts, awards, and acolytes.” In 2009, Steven Lambke and Daniel Romano co-founded You’ve Changed Records, establishing an effective means for a group of musicians, songwriters, and performers to present their work while building sustainable artistic careers.

In addition to his solo songwriting practice, Steven Lambke sings in the punk band Spider Bite, and is a member of legendary indie-band Constantines: young hearts be free tonight.

Steven Lambke will be joined on stage by multi-instrumentalist and producer Michael C. Duguay.

DUSTED is the solo project of Polaris Short List and Juno nominated songwriter/ producer Brian Borcherdt. Over his career Brian has created a wide range of music and art projects, such as Holy F, the experimental electronic band championed by the likes of Lou Reed, Radiohead, MIA as well as his quieter, moodier side like the ECMA nominated instrumental four-piece Quilting.

“The new collection of songs from Borcherdt builds on his spacious odd-folk songs under the moniker and sees him continue to interpolate electronic drums and synths on top of his ghostly vocals, creating a foggy world that succinctly evokes his return to Canada’s east coast; the birthplace of Borcherdt and his decades-long musical career.” - Circuit Sweet (UK)

Brian will be joined by Matt McQuaid on bass and Mark Adam on drums.

Show starts at 8 pm. Doors open at 6:30 pm.
